Picture Time

For those of you who do not know, we are living with friends right now. We are building a house that seems like it will never get finished and our gracious friends have taken us in in the mean time.

Living with friends means living with the bare minimum which means no desktop computer. The only way for us to get our pictures off the camera is to put them on the desktop which is currently at my parents. All of this to say, I am hardly ever able to get the pictures off of our camera and on to the world wide web.

Lucky for you (Janet :)), I was able to get pictures off the camera last week and onto our blog for your viewing pleasure.

Zeke turned 8, then 9, and now 10 months. I still need to take the 10 month pictures, so maybe I will post them in 3 months when I upload pictures again :)

We had some fun dates with our kiddos. Me and Tay went to see Beauty and Beast at TPAC and Mark took Noah to see some race cars.

We had a camp out in the back yard with the family we are staying with. The kids had a blast and actually slept through the night!

Halloween happened. We thought we would be in the new house by then, but since we are obviously not, all of our costumes are somewhere in storage. Thankfully we have sweet friends who let us borrow costumes.

Christ is Risen!

I love Easter. I have found that the older I get, the more I choke up around Easter time. To remember what Christ did for me and the sin He took on for me, it just gets me a little weepy.
For example, I may or may not cry every time I read the story of Jesus' death and resurrection to our children. No need to mention that it comes from their children's Bible (side note: if you do not own "the Jesus Storybook Bible" by Sally Lloyd-Jones, you must buy it, you must).

I give you our yearly Easter picture. I still cannot believe we are a family of 5.

We had our annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt yesterday. Look at what a difference 1 year makes. Most of our neighborhood friends have up and left us. Makes me sad :(

Thanksgiving (and Christmas) with the in-laws

Last weekend we made the trip up to Ohio to visit Mark's family. Since I will be fairly large and pregnant by Christmastime, we combined the trip to celebrate Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Noah was sort of obsessed with this Jeep. He even popped the hood to check out the engine. I seriously cannot get enough of this kid. 

Taylor can officially swing like a big girl. It sort of made me tear up when I realized that she can do it all by herself.

First official Christmas presents of the year. The kids were excited!

Halloween

Who doesn't love dressing up in costumes? Well, actually I don't normally love to dress up, but our kids think it's sort of amazing. This year I was lame-o and did not have a costume. I am going to go ahead and play the pregnant card and use that as my excuse.

We had our 3rd annual neighborhood chili-cook off last weekend. All the peeps in the hood got together and let the kids run around like crazy people while we chatted it up and ate some yummy chili. I have yet to win the contest, but I am banking on next year.

Tay's preschool had a pumpkin patch day where her and all her classmates went and found a pumpkin with their name on it. I was able to go along and Tay was pretty excited that me and Noah came to watch.
According to Tay's teachers, she has a "best friend" in her class. The bottom right is of the girls with their pumpkins talking about who knows what :)

And then there was the BIG night, Halloween that is. And what did I do? Well, forgot my camera of course. Thankfully our wonderful friends took a picture of the Elliott clan.

And this has nothing to do with Halloween, but our friend, Raechel Myers, took family photos for us last weekend. She sent me this "sneak peek" and I am in love with it!

Last week we went with neighbors, today we went with Daddy. There is really not much to say expect that my kids are just too darn cute not to post more pictures :)

I could seriously just eat this kid up.

Noted for next year. I don't think it will be long before Noah passes up Tay.

Let me see your shake pop

I love the 4th. It is most definitely up there on my list of favorite holidays. One, because we get to celebrate our independence. And two (which is my most favorite part), FIREWORKS! How someone can get all that awesomeness into one little circular tube, I will never understand.

Tay is probably the coolest 4 year I know. She makes up TONS of awesome moves (just like her dad) and then gives them rockin' names.

Me and the computer have not been friends lately. For some reason I have not been able to upload any pictures over the past 2 weeks. The longer it took to get the pictures off of the camera and on to the computer, the more I built them up in my head. You know how that goes.

I am a last minute Halloween shopper, so we took what we could find. Tay was a bee and Noah was Batman. And let me tell you, Noah was HILARIOIS! Anytime we put him down, he would just take off (surprise, surprise). The quote of the night was “there goes little Batman”.

The first picture is our attempt at getting a cute picture of the kids. In the second, you will notice that Mark is a whoopie cushion. Thankfully (?) the couple who hosted the Halloween party had an extra costume...
Oh, and we found out that Noah loves golf carts :)
